The secretary of an allotment association was strangled with a lawnmower cord by a fellow committee member and left inside a locked shed near the plot which was her ‘passion’, a court heard. Widow Lea Adri-Soejoko, 80, was allegedly assaulted and rendered defenceless by keen gardener Rahim Mohammadi, 41, before being murdered and laid on a pallet in the cobwebbed outhouse.
