ANDES: MAN DENIES SHOOTING ON ESTATE
A 39-year-old today (Fri) denied shooting dead a man in broad daylight in south London.
Raymond Andes is alleged to have killed Isaiah Bovell in the garden of a house on the Clapham Park Estate.
Mr Bovell, known to friends as ‘Ziggy’ suffered a single gunshot wound to the head outside 55 Plummer Road, off Poynders Road, shortly before 11.15am on April 14 this year.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is alleged Andes fired a gun from his window after a brick was thrown at his property.
Today he pleaded not guilty to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life during a short hearing.
The Common Serjeant of London, Judge Brian Barker QC, confirmed the trial would start on October 17 at the Old Bailey. The case is due to last two weeks.
Andes, of Plummer Road, Clapham, southwest London, was remanded in custody.
