Boots fined for ‘gadget glare’ claims

Boots Opticians has been fined £40,000 for claiming their expensive contact lenses protected eyes from ‘gadgets glare.’ The high street chain marketed their Boots Protect Plus Blue (BPPB) lenses as filterers of blue light in a Times magazine advert on 24 January 2015.
