Care home firm hit with £1m fine after bath death

A care home firm has been fined £1.04m for corporate manslaughter of a dementia patient who was scalded to death while taking a bath. Frances Norris, 93, had been in the bath for about 10 minutes before staff at the Birdsgrove Nursing Home in Bracknell, Berkshire, noticed a problem on February 5, 2015.
