Cop accused of touching man as they waited for a lift

A  Met Police officer touched a man’s bottom over his clothing as they waited for a lift, a court heard. Raymond Tovey, 35, assaulted the man in Newham, east London, on 1 September 2024. Tovey, of Ipswich, Suffolk, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing a white shirt, and indicated a plea of not guilty to sexual assault.
