A biomedical scientist who failed to keep lab equipment clean in a blunder that had ‘very serious implications’ for patients has been struck off. Hema Shah was responsible for the supervision of biomedical staff working in the blood transfusion laboratory at the Christie Pathology Partnership in Manchester.
