Dr Harbinson later claimed Miss A appeared satisfied with the procedure and was even unwilling to change doctors when she moved away from the area.
He said she also pestered him to have her other son circumcised when he developed problems with his private parts.
Dr Harbinson said at one stage she said ‘couldn’t he have a circumcision in the same way as Bradley.
‘
The GP said he thought he had explained the details of the surgery to Miss A but admitted she was so upset giving evidence that he could not have done.
He said: ‘I think with hindsight, seeing how distressed she was yesterday, I probably failed to explain it adequately in spite of the fact I seemed to spend a lot of time with her.
‘She was clearly very traumatised.
‘
Dr Harbinson also denied putting pressure on the second mum, known as Miss B, but admitted he told her he preferred circumcision in cases such as her son Anthony’s.
The hearing continues.
