Fergie’s former aide has shown a capacity for ‘cunning action and revenge’ during her murder trial, the Old Bailey heard today.

Jane Andrews, 34, was accused of deliberately lying to police and the jury and being in denial about the murder of lover Tom Cressman.
Prosecutor Bruce Houlder QC said in his closing speech to the jury: ‘Her every move shows her capacity for dishonesty.
‘This was a woman who made too much of the relationship and set herself on a path where disappointment really was something that was too hard for her to bear.
‘She was spurred on by the anger she felt at his betrayal with the woman in America, and of her hopes when he told her the marriage was not going to happen.
‘Spurred by the thought he had been planning to go to Las Vegas to meet this woman the next month, that things were getting very close – against that background she harboured a rage that led her quite deliberately to attack.
‘She is quite clearly a young woman who is quite capable of telling deliberate lies.
‘
He said it made no sense for her to fax copies of the sexually explicit emails to the Las Vegas woman’s workplace if her hopes for marriage were still alive.
‘This is a classic case of murder as a result of anger and betrayal.
‘
Mr Houlder said she lied in emails to friends to throw suspicion away from her and had plenty of opportunity to phone 999 after stabbing Mr Cressman.
‘These lies were told for no other reason than that she knew she was responsible for the death.
‘The blood around the room tells of his death throes and really do give the lie that having sustained the injury he came across the bed to attack her.
‘
Mr Houlder said the jury had to ask themselves whether Andrews completely fabricated the anal rape attack.
‘She did engage in this form of sex on previous occasions perfectly consensually.
She knows perfectly well what she had done.
She is clearly in a form of denial.
‘This is a woman who has showed a capacity for thought, cunning action, deliberation and revenge.
‘
Andrews is accused of hitting Mr Cressman, 39, over the head with a cricket bat and plunging an eight inch kitchen knife into his chest after he called off their marriage.
The court has heard that Andrews fled to Plymouth after the killing in the early hours of September 17 last year.
She was found three days later by police slumped in her car in a layby in Liskeard, Cornwall, after taking a large overdose of Nurofen painkillers.
Millionaire’s son Mr Cressman had been living with Andrews at their pnds stlg 400,000 home at [66] Maltings House in Bagley’s Lane, Fulham, since May 1999.
They first met in the middle of 1998.
Andrews, who worked for the Duchess for nine years until 1997, was last employed as a shop assistant at the Theo Fennell store in Fulham.
She denies murder and the trial continues with a closing speech from defence counsel John Kelsey-Fry, QC.
