Financial analyst ‘slashed City worker with penknife’

A financial analyst left a fellow City worker needing plastic surgery after slashing his face and neck with a penknife in a nightclub row, a court heard. Alvaro Garcia-Martinez, 26, was attacked while out celebrating his birthday with a group of Spaniards at the Libertine in Fitzrovia on 5 June 2016, jurors heard. Bernardo Assis, 25, was with a group of Portuguese at the same spot and an argument spilled onto Winsley Street, just off Oxford Street at about 3am….
