Firearms cop lied about qualfications

An elite armed officer with the Metropolitan Police claimed bogus qualifications to use firearms, a court heard. PC Ryan McGowan, 35, also failed to attend training sessions when he was with the Specialist Firearms Command, Westminster Magistrates Court heard.
