Foot fancier jailed after bus-stop outrages

Catford

A foot fetishist who targeted young lone women as they waited for the bus has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Pervert Aaron Black, 30, performed solo sex acts as he leered at his victims’ feet.

Police praised the women who came forward to halt his nine-month spree of disgusting crimes.

They were shielded from Black’s warped gaze as they gave evidence in Inner London Crown Court, where he was found guilty of eight counts of outraging public decency, six counts of exposure and one count of sexual assault.

Black was today (Thurs) jailed for two-and-a-half years for the offences, which took place between 26 July 2016 and Tuesday 4 April this year in the Shoreditch, Elephant and Castle and Lewisham areas of London.

He targeted most of his victims while they were at or near a bus stop.

Acting DS Gavin Staplehurst, of the Met police, said: ‘I would like to thank the victims in this case for reporting these offences and assisting the police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) with the subsequent court case.

‘Each of the victims in the case was a young woman who took time out of their lives to assist the police.

Siwan Hayward, TfL’s Head of Transport Policing, said: ‘I commend all these women for coming forward and reporting what they saw.

‘Every report matters and helped police build a picture so they could catch Black and he could be sentenced for his offensive, disgusting crimes.

‘This behaviour will not be tolerated on our transport network. Offenders will be identified and will be brought to justice.’

Black, of Boundfield Road, Catford, was convicted of eight counts of outraging public decency, six counts of exposure and one count of sexual assault.
