Granny killer faces March trial

An alleged killer charged with murdering his grandmother will stand trial in March next year. Subel Ali, 33, is accused of stabbing 80-year-old Shotera Bibi to death at his home address on Landseer Avenue, Manor Park, east London. Police were called to the property at 9:56am on 2 April along with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite their efforts, Ms Bibi was pronounced dead at the scene.
