Jail for man who profited from trade in endangered species

  A dealer who traded in body parts of some of the world’s most endangered species has been jailed. Abbas Allawi, 52, sold elephant tusks, rhino horns and even hippo teeth. Rhino horn is wrongly believed to be an aphrodisiac and the animals have been hunted so ruthlessly that very few animals exist outside parks and reserves.
