Mother of eight ‘battered to death by partner’

A mother-of-eight was found dying in the bedroom of her £2m home after being attacked by her partner, a court heard. Sophinia Bertrand, 46, died after suffering ‘blunt force’ injuries to her head and chest in Trawley Road, Fulham at on 30 April. Police found Ms Bertrand in the upstairs bedroom and arrested her partner Mehdi Madar, 45, at the house.
