MP’s lawyer taken to hospital

A Labour MP accused of harassing a woman will not stand trial today because her high profile barrister has been rushed to hospital, a court heard. Leicester East MP Claudia Webbe, 56, allegedly made a series of phone calls to Michelle Merritt and threatened her on two occasions between September 2018 and April last year.
