A Polish nurse muddled up two patients and injected one with the other’s painkillers because they were both called ‘Roger,’ a court heard. Roger Allardyce, 78, died four days after Magdalena Starzynska, 37, administered the wrong patient with the anaesthetic Midazolam. Mr Allardyce had been suffering from lung cancer when the agency nurse confused him for another man on the ward who was also called Roger and was suffering from the same condition.
