Romanian has a funny turn in the dock
A jealous lover who terrorised the mother of his children and threatened to kill her friend was rushed to hospital after he collapsed in the dock.
Manix Chiciu, 45, traumatised Marcelica Badea in a campaign of abuse between May and August 2019.
The Romanian left Ms Badea frightened to leave the house and fearful she would be beaten up if she tried to argue against him.
In a blind rage Chiciu threatened her companion Nicolae Ratiu on the 12 June that year saying he would kill her.
He dramatically collapsed in the dock writhing in pain gasping for air as he admitted bullying the vulnerable woman and her pal.
An ambulance was called to the court in south London to take him to hospital ahead of a medical and psychiatric report being prepared for his sentencing.
Southwark Crown Court heard he had suffered from a heart condition throughout the legal proceedings.
Chiciu, who is being held at HMP Wandsworth, admitted abusive and coercive behaviour and intimidation by threatening to kill.
He will be sentenced at the same court on 6 April.
