Superbike rider hit woman in Trafalgar Square

A motorcyclist seriously injured a woman by driving his 150mph Ducati superbike dangerously in Trafalgar Square, a court heard.

Ram Monk, 30, is accused of injuring Christina Roubinet Filoche on his white 1200cc Ducati Multistrada on 28 March.

According to the charges he’ caused serious injury to Mrs Christina Roubinet Filoche by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle, namely Ducati Multistrada dangerously on a road namely Trafalgar Square.’

Wearing a dark grey fleece, Monk denied one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving at Southwark Crown Court.

Miles Trigg, prosecuting, said: ‘We invite the court to proceed to identify a trial date.’

Mr Trigg said that the prosecution is still waiting for the crash scene report.

‘It is likely to take a few months before the report is prepared’, he said.

Monk, of Monfort Place, Vauxhall, south London, was bailed ahead of his three day trial on 5 October 2027.
