Two armed rapists who abducted a university graduate and put her through a horrendous sex ordeal while ‘hellbent’ on a night of crime in London were each jailed for 14-and-a-half years at the Old Bailey today.

The 25-year-old, who was making her way home after a Christmas party, was forced into a car by the two men after missing the last bus.
She was beaten with a gun and subjected to repeated rape attacks by the two 21-year-old assailants who targeted lone women that night with what a judge described as ‘planned, ruthless and sadistic intent.

And Gino Connor, prosecuting, said the 25-year-old is left trying to rebuild her shattered life:
‘It was a terrifying experience and one does not know whether she is going to ever psychologically recover from the attack upon her.
‘
Mr Connor said the woman, working as an assistant buyer in the City at the time, was the final victim to fall prey to illegal immigrant Derek Parchment and Roland Malcolm, both 21, on December 21 last year:
‘Each victim was going about his or her business when approached, threatened and in one instance raped and degraded by each of these young men.
‘They appeared to be hellbent on committing offences with complete disregard for their victims.
There is little doubt that it was a pre-planned set of offences.
‘The defendants met around 7pm that evening.
Parchment needed cash and they decided between the two of them that it would be easy to obtain credit cards and PIN numbers.
‘All they needed to do was to kidnap a victim but if their victim was a woman they discussed the possibility of having sex with her.
‘
The court heard how the pair set off in a white Peugeot, belonging to Parchment, with its number plate partially obscured with tape.
Initially they approached Victoria Bowyer in South Ruislip as she waited for her father to pick her up after work.
She was told to get into the car but she ran away and they drove off after she banged on the front door of a local Home Base.
A-level student Philip Hooles was walking home from Sudbury Hill tube station when the Peugeot drove past him and then reversed beside him.
Malcolm, sitting on the passenger side, asked for directions, but Parchment suddenly pulled out the gun and pointed it at his face.
Mr Hooles lashed out and was pistol-whipped to his eye by Parchment.
But in the end only his scarf was taken.
Fiona Rushton, who worked for an accountancy firm, was on her way home from a Christmas Party in the West End when the car drew up to her in Church Road, Hanwell.
Again Malcolm asked for directions but then the gun was thrust into her ribs.
But the defendants snatched her mobile phone and drove away when Miss Rushton dropped the glass framed accountancy certificate she had just been awarded.
‘She was very angry, very nervous and freaked out as a result of the incident,’ said Mr Connor.
But the ‘worst and most grave offences’ concerned the university graduate who was snatched off the street as she tried to make her way home from Boston Manor tube station.
‘She missed the last bus and there were no cabs available.
‘
Suddenly she was approached on the pavement by Malcolm ‘jigging around in front of her.
‘
He then stepped in front of her and snarled: ‘I’ve got a gun.
‘
Mr Connor said the victim had never seen a gun before and she later spoke of feeling ‘pathetic, helpless and stupid.

She was ordered to get into the car and Parchment drove towards West Ealing.
The woman was told ‘cruelly’ that the pair only wanted her money but the prosecutor added:
‘Nothing can be further from the truth.
‘
Parchment then hit her in the face and her credit card with PIN number was taken.
And while Malcolm got out of the car to get cash from an Abbey National Machine in the Broadway, Parchment forced her to perform oral sex.
She was then raped by Parchment and told to ‘make noises’ so his friend could hear.
‘Throughout the gun was pushed into the left side of her neck during the course of the rape.
‘She was in pain and being degraded.
‘
He stopped for a time when Malcolm got in the back of the car but Parchment decided to rape her again.
Malcolm then undid his trousers and joined in the attack.
‘As he raped her he continued a conversation with his co-defendant,’ said Mr O’Connor.
Malcolm asked her whether she was enjoying the ordeal and then began to abuse her, putting her through a particularly revolting assault.

They also robbed her and Parchment, who wanted more money, warned her: ‘If you don’t give me pnds stlg 250 I will blow your brains out.

In all the pair took pnds sltg 700 from the victim.
Since the incident the girl cannot travel at night and is nervous about being left in her home on her own.
‘She feels she has lost all confidence and independence,’ said Mr Connor.
‘Simple things like going to the corner shop have become an ordeal for her.
‘
The girl said in an impact statement: ‘This attack has left me devastated and has totally changed my life.
‘
The court heard Parchment was an illegal immigrant having come to Britain from Jamaica in October 1998 as a visitor.
He was given a week’s leave to remain here.
But he failed to return to Gatwick Airport a week later.
Parchment was living in Birmingham when he was arrested on January 3 while Malcolm was arrested a day later in London.
Malcolm has been convicted for offences of dishonesty several times in the past.
He made a statement against his pal who was forced to plead guilty because of it.
Parchment, of Nicol Road, Harlesden, admitted two charges of rape, kidnap, two charges of robbery and possessing an imitation firearm.
Malcolm, of Burnley Road, Willesden, admitted attempted kidnap, kidnap, rape, indecent assault, theft, two charges of robbery, and three of possessing an imitation firearm.
Malcolm also admitted assaulting a police officer by head-butting and spitting at him when he was arrested.
Jailing the pair Judge Valerie Pearlman said: ‘You two men set out to rob innocent persons coming home late just before Christmas last year and it is obvious from what has been said to me that the question of having sex with one of those victims was mentioned.
‘
And the judge said of the rape victim: ‘She was driven around with the gun being held to her and it was used to hit her.
Not content with this you Parchment raped her twice and you Malcolm once.
‘She was imprisoned in the car for just under an hour.
In my judgment the two of you targeted women alone with planned, ruthless and sadistic intent and behaviour which was quite obviously designed to terrorise the victims.
‘You carried out the offences quite regardless of the effects on them.
‘It is quite obvious that neither of you care for the rights of those who walk around peacefully.
‘The victim of the rapes still suffers the ill-effects of your wicked attack.
‘In my judgment you are both dangerous men and people on the streets must be protected from you both.
‘
The pair showed no emotion as they were each given jail sentences totalling 14-and-a-half years.
Outside court Det Insp Michael Murphy said: ‘These are the most disgraceful offences I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
