Unregulated Grenfell architect is fined

An unregulated architect who wrangled a place as an expert into the investigation of the Grenfell Tower tragedy has been ordered to pay £6,240. John Priestley was not registered with his governing body when he was appointed to a board looking into the design of the Kensington flats which burst into flames leaving 72 people dead last June. He was charged with using the word ‘architect’ for his business when he was not registered and had not been since 2010….
