A winking witness who nodded to a bent juror while giving false evidence at a drug dealer’s trial has been jailed for nearly four years. Laurence Hayden, 54, known as ‘Del Boy’, was convicted of perverting the course of justice in his absence in December after he fled to Spain before the trial began.
