A bus driver accused of molesting his eight-year-old
daughter faces a retrial after an Old Bailey jury’s deliberations
ended in deadlock.
The 42-year-old Thamesmead man was said to have preyed
on the girl when her mother was working night shifts as a nurse.
He denied charges of rape, buggery and indecent assault
between October 14 1981 and October 13 1985.
A retrial date has not yet been fixed.
