A former soldier who punched a doctor and sprayed

A former soldier who punched a doctor and sprayed hospital staff with his urine sample while being treated for an overdose was spared jail today (THURS).

Shahram Mosheni-Vahed, 36, claims he came to Britain to escape torture by the Iranian police on his return from the Iran-Iraq war.

But he was was arrested after threatening to kill 100 Englishmen at the Royal Free Hospital.

Mosheni-Vahed flew into a rage when he found himself attached to a heart monitor on July 18 this year.

He ripped the leads from his body and hit a doctor before spraying urine from a sample bottle and spitting at staff.

The Iranian was heard to shout: ‘I will kill all the English, I hate English people, I am going to kill you.

‘I will kill 100 Englishmen every day.

‘

Turning to a WPC he said: ‘I am going to find you and rape you.

‘

It is not known when Vahed arrived in the country.

Defence barrister Andrew Vout said Vahed had been tortured by the Iranian police and discovered his mother had died on the day of his arrest.

Judge Jonathan van der Werff sentenced him to a two year community rehabilitation order.

He said: ‘Your behaviour in the hospital that day was unconscionable.

‘I hope you are quite glad to have escaped from Iran and are here now but if there is any more misbehaviour of this sort I have no doubt the court will send you to prison and recommend that you be deported.

‘

Mosheni-Vahed, of 8 Myddleton Road, Wood Green, north London, walked free from court.
