A Wembley woman accused of receiving regular cocaine parcels in
the post now faces a retrial.

After more than five hours of deliberation the Snaresbrook Crown
Court jury were unable to return verdicts in relation to Susan Cole of
Berkamsted Avenue who denied charges of importing and storing the evil
class A drug.

Judge Gosschalk (correct) discharged the jury and ordered a
retrial.

Miss Linda Dibbs, prosecuting, had said that following their
investigations, customs officers swooped on the Berkhamsted Avenue
address on April 29 and seized a total of 242.

3 grammes of cocaine
which has a value on the streets of pnds stlg 41,000.

The court had heard how customs had traced dozens of parcels sent
by post from Nigeria to the house in Wembley before the eventual raid.

Giving evidence Cole claimed that a man she met once at a party
collected them and that she never knew the contents.

She told the court that she was merely doing a favour for the
man, named as Francis Williams, and feared asking too many questions
about the packages.
