Accused of bubbly swiping

A property developer today denied pinching eight bottles of champagne from Fortnum & Mason with the help of a teenage accomplice. Douglas Vallender, 52, is said to have swiped the bubbly from the famous Piccadilly department store in London’s West End on 1 May.
