‘Bank of Terror’ con gang face jail

A gang of fraudsters who posed as police officers to con a pensioner out of £90,000 as part of the so-called ‘Bank of Terror’ scam are facing jail. Michael Garrett, 70, received a string of phone calls to persuade him someone had stolen his identity and he needed to transfer funds to ‘safe’ bank accounts under police control.
