‘Black humour’ of Bulgarian spies

Bulgarian spies who snooped on targets under the orders of a KGB agent were partly engaging in ‘black humour’ when they discussed their plans, a court heard. The agents were part of a sophisticated KGB espionage ring controlled from a guest house in Great Yarmouth. It included ringleader Orlin Roussev, 47, Biser Dzhambazov, 44, lab-assistant Katrin Ivanova, 33, beautician Vanya Gaberova, 30, decorator Tihomir Ivanchev, 39, and 33-year-old Ivan Stoyanov.
