GAMBIZA: PAIR IN COURT ACCUSED OF RIDE-BY MURDER
Two men accused of a ride-by shooting are due to face trial in November.
Tadzingwa Gambiza, 19, and Jordan Burree, 24, allegedly murdered 25 year-old Sadiq Adebiyi on May 31 this year.
Mr Adebiyi was shot as he stood on a pavement outside Richardson Court in Clapham Road, Stockwell, south London.
He was approached by two men on a motorcyle who opened fire at 11.30pm.
The victim, from the Stockwell Gardens Estate, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
Gambiza was present in the dock of the Old Bailey for today’s (Thurs) hearing, while Burree appeared via videolink from prison.
Both spoke only to confirm their names during a short hearing before the Common Serjeant of London, Judge Brian Barker QC.
The judge set a trial, due to late three weeks, for November 28.
The two men did not enter pleas and a further hearing was scheduled for September 12.
Gambiza, of Broadfield House, Stockwell, south London; and Burree, of Down Street, West Molesley, Surrey, were remanded in custody.
