A thief who broke into a £1.8m apartment to steal antiques told a court he is guilty – and asked to be sent back to his cell for a nice sleep. Michael Welsh, 50, forced his way into the Devonshire Mews West property in Mayfair to steal jewellery and valuables worth £4,305.95.
