Gillian Morand killed herself after sufffering years of abuse from partner

A plumber accused of abusing a former partner for years before she took her own life has been remanded in custody. Police were informed of domestic abuse allegations shortly after Gillian Morand, 36, was found dead in Bexley, southeast London, in March 2020. An inquest was held into Ms Morand’s death and a coroner concluded she had committed suicide. Seyhan Assaf, 45, is now accused of abusing Ms Morand over a ‘significant period of time’ which ‘contributed to her death’….
