An asylum seeker accused of ramming his car into cyclists outside Parliament apologised for the first time today (Thurs) and explained he was looking for somewhere to buy breakfast. Salih Khater, 30, drove at police officers guarding the side entrance of the Palace of Westminster but claims it was an accident and he was just trying to stop and buy food.
