Store detective Mr Hopkins later told how he saw Lord Blandford ‘twisting and pulling’ as he held a pair of sunglasses in the shop.

Giving evidence Mr Hopkins said: ‘He was moving quickly through the sunglasses department.

I just saw his arm going to one side.

‘He was twisting and pulling, and his arm flung to one side as if he was throwing something.

I can’t say what it was because I didn’t see what it was.

I could not specifically say if it was a tag, a ticket or a piece of paper.
