Tube robber faces jail after four days of terror

A serial robber is facing jail after he spent four days on the Tube pulling a knife on commuters to grab their phones.

Teddy Kelt, 20, took an iPhone, a Samsung phone, an iPad and Apple Air Max headphones from three victims between 4 and 8 December last year.

He further admitted three counts of attempted robbery relating to two mobile phones and a phone charger.

The offences took place at locations across London on the Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line and Northern Line.

Kelt was arrested in April this year after hundreds of police officers were deployed at Tube and train stations as part of huge anti-robbery crackdown across the capital.

He is already serving a prison sentence of three years and nine months for previous robberies.

Judge Michael Evans, KC, told Kelt: ‘You will be sentenced on 16 October.

‘I am sure he is anxious to have it dealt with.’

Kelt, of Bower Close, Romford, admitted three counts of robbery, three counts of attempted robbery, two counts of having an article with a blade or a point and one count of common assault.
