YAQOOB:DRUG DEALER WHO THREATENED NEIGHBOURS WITH GUN HAS JAIL TERM CUT

A drug dealer who told his neighbours he was a “gangster” as he threatened them with a gun today had his jail term reduced on appeal, reports Stand News.

Anser Yaqoob was jailed for 10 years at Reading Crown Court in March, after he admitted having a prohibited firearm, possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of cannabis.

But the 29-year-old, of Hatton Avenue, Manor Park, Slough, had his sentence cut to eight years by judges sitting at London’s Criminal Appeal Court, who said the original term was “excessive”.
