Charity conwoman targeted the elderly

A pensioner ‘lost his faith in humanity’ after he was targeted by a conwoman posing as a cancer charity collector, a court heard. Connie Welsby, 50, stole handbags and wallets from five pensioner’s homes during her spree in Romford, Essex, between 9 February and 15 May this year.
