A blundering doctor accused of a catalogue of errors which led to the death of a 10-year-old boy during a routine tooth extraction has taken up locum posts the length and breath of the UK.
Anaesthetist Dr John Evans-Appiah, 58, fell to the floor and sobbed ‘Why me?’ after tragic youngster Darren Denholm died in the dentist’s chair at Edinburgh’s Peffermill Dental Clinic
He allegedly made elementary errors which led to Darren’s death on October 9, 1998, and the GMC will decide on his fate later today.

Just a few weeks later Evans-Appiah, also failed to give sufficient anaesthetics to a 31-year-old woman during an emergency caesaren section at the Maidstone Hospital in Kent, causing her to to ‘writhe and scream’ in agony.
