A mother-of-four who teamed up with a gunman for a vicious
‘Bonnie and Clyde’ style raid on a jewellers has been jailed for
five years by an Old Bailey judge.

Terri Johnson, 30, marched into Turners Jewellers in Rose
Hill, Sutton, with Dennis Hector, 28, who had completed a string
of successful shop raids.

Johnson punched one of the middle aged lady assistants to
the floor and Hector pulled out an imitation gun, said prosecutor

She grabbed handfuls of jewellery as Hector brandished the
weapon at the terrified women.

Hector shouted at one: ‘Don’t keep looking at me or I’ll
shoot your nose off.

‘
And as the pair fled with pnds stlg 12,000 worth of
valuables Hector warned the women not to follow or he would shoot
them from across the street.

The police caught up with the pair after a painstaking
invesitigation.

Last month Hector of Wynchfield Road, Sydenham, was jailed
for 12 years after he admitted eight robberies two thefts, seven
firearms offences and taking a car to use on the raids.

Johnston, of Melrose Close, Lee, confessed to the one
robbery and related firearms offence on June 6 last year.

She told police Hector had forced her to get involved in
the crime.

Passing sentence, Judge Kenneth Richardson, QC, said the
sentence would have been more severe had she not been a mother
of four.
