A sadistic 13-year-old boy who carved his initials in blood
on the back of a helpless schoolmate is facing a sentence
of detention at the Old Bailey.

The horrific revenge attack left the victim with six-inch high
letters etched onto his shoulder with a knife so that he would know
who his assailants were.

The young attacker, who cannot be named for legal reasons, joined
his older accomplices Liakot Miah, 18, and Nazrul Islam, 20, in
pleading guilty at the Old Bailey.

Sentence was adjourned for reports.

Miah, of Butler House, Poplar, and Islam, of Brightingsea, Essex,
admitted kidnap, false imprisonment, assaulting occasioning actual
bodily harm and unlawful wounding.

After hearing the victim give evidence, his 13-year-old attacker
changed his plea and admitted false imprisonment and unlawful
wounding.

The jury had heard how the 14-year-old Poplar lad’s ordeal began at
lunchtime on March 17 this year when he was bundled into a car outside
his school in Bow and driven by Islam to Epping Forest.

Despite a desperate but failed bid to escape, he was beaten, burnt
with cigarettes and had the initials of his attackers carved into his
back with a knife on Islam’s orders.

The beating continued as he was driven back to the school and
finally dumped, bleeding and crying and virtually naked, outside the
school gates.

The only motive for the attack was revenge for a fight that
occurred months before.

None of the three attackers was directly
involved in the earlier fracas.

The three defendants were arrested soon after thanks to the quick-
thinking of a friend of the victim who had diligently noted the car’s
registration number.
