An evil love rat caged for life for murdering his brother’s wife made love to the woman immediately before the killing – revealed after detectives found her love juice on his penis.

Callous Armjit Kulkarni, 23, initially denied he had been having a secret affair with his sister-in-law Pal Kaur Dhal, 27, while his brother was busy working at a market stall.

But when tests found Pal Dhal’s vaginal secretions on his member this forced him in court to confess to his secret romps with his brother’s wife.

The court heard that after Kulkarni brutally murdered his secret lover he sent her five-year-old niece and seven-year-old nephew to find their mum’s corpse in a bid to distance himself from the murder.

Kulkarni had been pressurising Pal Kaur Dhal, 27, for sex months before she finally caved in to his demands last year.

But while Kulkarni’s older brother was still out at work on September 27, 1999, Mrs Dhal was overcome with guilt and threatened to confess to her husband.

A neighbour in Camborne Avenue, Ealing, west London, heard a tumultuous argument between two Asian voices before Kulkarni silenced Mrs Dhal with his bare hands.

Mrs Dhal was throttled to death and prosecutor Mr Mark Ellison told the court how Kulkarni thought their dark secret would rest in her grave.

After eating lunch with his widowed brother Kulkarni then collected his niece and nephew from school and sent them up to the room where he knew that the youngsters would find their mother’s body.

And as they broke down with grief Kulkarni feigned surprise and wept crocodile tears beside his sister-in-law’s body.

Kulkarni then wiped away a stream of blood as it ran from the corner of Mrs Dhal’s mouth before concocting a story about an illusory intruder.

And in what officers have described as ‘base stage management’ Kulkarni then pulled down a curtain and opened a window to give strength to his story.

He pointed to a smashed plant pot on a low roof outside the bedroom window and suggested it had been knocked off as the ‘intruder’ made his escape.

But the landlord of the property in north west London remembered that the broken pot had been there for weeks.

There were no footprints left on the muddy roof and the jury rejected Kulkarni’s claims of an intruder.

When he was interviewed by police Kulkarni denied ever having sex with Mrs Dhal.

And Kulkarni even had the gall to appeal to his religion telling officers: ‘It is wrong in Sikh law for a man to even look into the eyes of his brother’s wife.

‘

But routine DNA tests revealed the depths of his lies.

On Mrs Dhal’s bra traces of her own saliva mingled with Kulkarni’s were found.

But the test on his own member provided the most damning piece of evidence.

Mr Ellison told the court that there was a very short list of suspects in the case: ‘So short, in fact, that there was only one name on it: that name was Armjit Kulkarni.
