Cops cleared of cooking evidence

Two police officers have been cleared of fabricating witness statements against a suspect after prosecutors ‘ignored’ a judge when he tried to halt the trial. Andrew Holdaway, 35, and John Murphy, 48, were said to have framed Mohammed Qasem by claiming he spat the stimulant Khat into a testing bag on the roadside by Heathrow airport.
