GNOLO:KILLER MUM MAY HAVE LEFT BABY OUT WITH RUBBISH
An Italian mother accused of murdering her two-month-old baby daughter just six days after entering the UK may have left her child out with the rubbish, a court heard today (tues).
Federica Boscolo-Gnolo, 31, allegedly killed Farah Boscolo-Gnolo and disposed of the body in Fulham, southwest London.
The body has never been found but detectives have appealed for help tracing a blue and white polka-dotted suitcase left in Dawes Road, Fulham, on 27 January.
Prosecutor Charlotte Newell told the Old Bailey: ‘Although it is believed the baby has been disposed of via waste disposal, it is possible the baby is at an unknown location.’
Boscolo-Gnolo was arrested on 29 January after she reported her baby was missing from a hotel in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The child was born on 22 November last year in Chioggia, Italy.
Boscolo-Gnolo appeared in court by video link from HMP Holloway charged with a single count of murder.
No application for bail was made and Boscolo-Gnolo was remanded in custody.
Judge Peter Rook QC said: ‘I express the hope the matter can be tried by this court in early July.’
Boscolo-Gnolo, of no fixed address, will next appear at the Old Bailey for a case management hearing on 21 April 2015.
