‘He raised cash for terrorists’
An accused fund raiser for terrorism has appeared at the Old Bailey. )
Farhad Mohammad, 54, is charged with five counts of entering and being concerned in an arrangement that made money or property available for the purpose of terrorism between 3 May 2017 and 10 January 2018.
He appeared at the Old Bailey wearing a shirt and jeans and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
Mohammad, of Osbourne Street, Colchester, was granted conditional bail ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing on 22 December 2023 at the same court.
He must live and sleep each night at his home address in Colchester, surrender his passport and not obtain any travel documents or international travel passes.
His trial will take place on 2 April 2024 at the Old Bailey.
