Dear Suzanne,

Thank-you for your application for the post of crime reporter as advertised in last week’s Guardian.

We are expanding London’s top court agency and need enthusiastic, dedicated reporters.

The successful applicant for this post will be based at the Old Bailey but will also cover other courts and tribunals.

He or she will produce national stories in competition with some of the best reporters in the business.

There will be scope for career development within the company and the opportunity to put yourself in the national newspaper marketplace.

If you think the position may be of interest, please give me a call and we will arrange a day out for you at the world’s most famous court.

Yours faithfully,

Guy Toyn
News Editor.
