City workers ‘partially blinded man at Bank station’

Four City workers accused of launching out a random attack at a Tube station must wait two and a half years to stand trial, a court heard.

Vasyl Pylypiuk was left partially blind after the alleged assault at Bank Underground Station on 11 December last year.

Wiliam Perfect, 26, of Hornchurch, Essex, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm on Mr Pylypiuk and a further count of affray at Inner London Crown Court.

He will be sentenced at a later date.

Patrick Robinson, Charles Lynn, Noah Andrews, Joseph Pittaway, all aged 26, all denied affray and causing actual bodily harm to Mr Pylipiuk at Inner London Crown

Robinson, of Upminster, Lynn, of Herongate, Andrews, of Ingrave, and Pittaway, of Upminster, were all granted unconditional bail ahead of their trial on February 14, 2028

Judge Evans told the men: ‘Your trial is listed in 2028, that means you will have a long time whilst on bail,’ and added that some trials were being listed as far ahead in the future as 2030 so it was not as far off as it could be.’
