Nicking nurse is struck off

A nurse who stole money from a vulnerable resident and forged receipts to cover her tracks has been banned from the profession. Gillian Burnell stole £50 from the resident while working for Advinia Healthcare Limited at Kingsway Nursing Home in Durham. She had been entrusted the money by a relative of the resident, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard.
