Police worker ‘was member of cloning gang’

A Met police worker was part of a gang that stole £300,000 from UK bank accounts by cloning company director’s email addresses, a court heard today. Thomas Dappa, 40, who works in the Met’s Referencing and Vetting Unit, is facing two charges relating to a series of ‘sophisticated’ frauds and money laundering.
