Mark Duggan’s son in Selfridges knife fight

Mark Duggan’s brother and his drill rapper son have denied taking part in a mass knife brawl in Selfridges.

Marlon Duggan, 37, and Kemani Duggan, 19, were allegedly part of a group knife fight in the department shops’ Oxford Street branch on May 8 last year.

Police were called after a man was stabbed in the leg during the incident at around 7.35pm, Southwark Crown Court heard.

Mark Duggan, 29, was shot dead by police officers on August 4, 2011, sparking riots in London and other cities across the country.

Marlon Duggan and his drill rapper nephew Kemani, who performs under the name Bandokay, denied violent disorder.

Malik Knox-Hooke, 21, Javani Best, 22, Rhyheem Lindsey, 19, Bryan Carvahlo, 21, and Andre Deer, 19, also denied the same charge relating to the incident in the luxury store.

Marlon Duggan, of the Runway, Haringey, north London, Kemani Duggan, of Riversdale Road, Highbury, north London, Knox-Hooke, of Lordship Lane, Haringey, north London, Best, of Tiverton Road, Haringey, north London, Lindsey, of Well House, Dalston, east London, Carvahlo, of Maya Place, New Southgate, north London and Deer, of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, all deny violent disorder.

Lindsey and Carvahlo each deny a single count of having a knife in a public place, namely Selfridges.

Judge Tomlinson remanded Lindsey in custody and bailed the others ahead of their trial on May 16 at Southwark Crown Court.
